About EPIC House

Elderly Persons in Community (EPIC House) offers a unique shared living experience for elderly, income eligible adults in Greater Cincinnati. Opened in 1989 by the Dominican Sisters of Hope, EPIC House was the result of a vision to provide shared housing for older people living in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine, West End and Central Business District who had no extended family to care for them.

Elderly Persons in Community (EPIC House) provides a solution to an often-overlooked problem – long-time inner city residents over the age of 60 who are placed prematurely in nursing homes because there is no affordable housing with services available to them.
