ABOUT EPIC HOUSE
EPIC House offers a unique shared living experience to elderly, low-income adults in Greater Cincinnati. Opened in 1989, EPIC house was the result of a vision to provide shared housing for older people living in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine, West End and Central Business District who had no extended family to care for them. EPIC House provides a solution to an often-overlooked problem – that of long-time inner city residents who are placed prematurely in nursing homes because there is no affordable housing with services available to them. Today, EPIC House is a thriving and active home for nine elderly adults. Residents enjoy a comfortable atmosphere and benefit from planned activities and friendly visitors to the house.
